Sparx in the City is a downtown Cleveland marketing initiative that leverages the creativity of artists to stimulate commerce and street life in the core neighborhoods of the city.

When Sparx announced it was seeking colorful, high-energy dancers, musicians and visual entertainers for performances in various outdoor spaces of downtown Cleveland this summer, Dr. Jeannette Potts, also known as Dr. Tango, auditioned with her local dance partner, David Palmer, and earned a position in the Sparx Street Beats performance line-up.

Dr. Tango, David and team performed on Thursday, August 31, from 5:30-7:30 pm, on West 6th Street next to the Metropolitan restaurant. Passersby were both surprised and delighted to see Jeannette presenting outside her usual workshop setting, where's she best known for her motivational speaking, employee training and development workshops, and executive coaching. A nice group of her current subscribers and newly interested consumers and business people stopped by to see her outside the classroom.

Although Dr. Tango LLC's interactive lectures often incorporate the dance as a means of demonstrating leadership, teamwork and communication skills, Jeannette's Sparx presentation was put on purely for her love of the art. In this case, her actions did all the talking!
